Opportunity: Speaking of incredible women in podcastingāmore to comeāmy friend and former colleague, Gabby Bulgarelli is teaching a FREE workshop on āUnpacking Complex Histories.ā TOMORROW, Thursday March 21 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET.
Reads: And speaking of complex historiesāwhat is this, a Russian nesting doll announcement series!?āIāve been thinking a lot about documentary and memoir. As Iāve said multiple times, I love watching and listening to documentaries. While I get my own thoughts together, I enjoyed these two posts from more women I respect in the podcasting community:
Elaine Appleton Grant, host of Sound Judgment, on memoir

A #SoundsLikeImpact Womenās History Month Round-up
I hope you enjoyed my The Devil Wearās Prada reference in the subject line. However, unlike Miranda Priestly, I donāt actually mean to be dismissive. Since entering this industry, I have been immersed in the talents of incredible women*, so much so that I donāt think itās surprising at all to encounter women making amazing work.
There is a stereotype of the āpodcast broā, but I donāt think that isānor should it beāthe face of podcasting. There are so many women and nonbinary creators that make up this industry. Now, this is not to disregard intersectional issues that are pervasiveā particularly when it comes to fundingāaround race, disability, and other facets of identity. I simply want to affirm that women have done a lot of work to build this industry, and I hope we continue to acknowledge their contributions. I know I will.
*Women is inclusive of trans women when I use the term, as it should be.
P.S. This list may get cut off in email so please open the entire post.
